My Jessie J Magic Moments For This Week
I thought I would do a post on the moments in Jessie's career so far that connect with me this week! I have to say I so wish they would professionaly record everything that she does live because honestly she sounds so awesome live. She does'nt need to be in the studio! I would be lying though if I did'nt say her featuring on Daley's new single has'nt had an impact on me this week our first track is a studio track.
Remember Me by Daley ft Jessie J
Our second clip I'm going to choose is one from the Cancer Trust Appeal and its a song Jess does'nt do very often live but she included when she appeared at the Royal Albert Hall in London for this

Meet The Band
I thought we might take a close look this week at Jessie's amazing band and the respect they have for each other! This is a part of what makes Jessie's stage show so awesome. The charisma that is Jessie J and the connection she makes with people whether it be her band members or fans in the crowd.
We will start off with Hannah Vasanth a super talented lady on keyboards. Who loves her Jazz! Hannah has performed on tour with Rihanna and Anastacia but she is now tied to the Jessie J show and you can see the respect and love both her and Jess have for each other!
Lastly we come to the backup singers Cherise Voncelle and Phebe Edwards. Cherri V as she is known was support for Jess early in her concert appearances and they actually go back to the early days together. When Jess was performing in Soul Deep. Cherri actually has a new EP coming out this week. Its titledGood Mourning Madame Rouge.
Phebe Edwards is also quite a talent and has performed with James Brown just before his passing and I thought we would post her singing Respect which is what all these band members seem to have for each other. On and off stage! When it come to choosing a band intro. It was a difficult choice but in the end I went with the jazzy Cancer Trust one over the fun Singapore Mama Knows Best! The video quality is not as good on the cancer trust but I loved the jazz feel to it! You may want to skip to the bottom of the page and watch the fun Singapore clip! Heaps better quality! Both are super! Anyway here is Jessie Jazzhands with her band intro! Meet the Band!

Keyboard Player, Producer and Songwriter Hannah Vasanth Born to South Indian parents, raised in Berlin. She attended an American school before moving to London.Where she completed her Bachelors in Jazz Performance at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music
Second up is the bass played Phil Simmonds, who Jessie has a lot of fun with on stage. Phil comes across as the larrakin in the band! Him and Jessies playing around together gives the whole show a great fun feeling!
On lead guitar is the other sidekick Lewie Allen. Him and Jess have a great connection, musically and you often get a feeling there is more than music in there eyes! Lol!
Then we have Ginger Hamilton, the drummer boy. Gee he certainly gives those drums a heavy beat. He looks a strong guy and in the drum solo to Do It Like A Dude, you will see what I mean.

Jessie J Singing with Others
I thought we would check out Jessie J performing with other artists this week. The UK Voice gave her plenty of opportunities so we will have a look at her performances with Will I Am, Danny O'donoghue and Tom Jones also the performance of Nobody's Perfect with Team Jessie member Vince Kidd. She really gave the performance with Vince her best shot. You know many thought she was showing off but I really believed she was trying to give it her best in wanting her new friend and team member Vince to win. It was probably not the right choice of song but hey, Nobody's Perfect and I really believe her heart was with Vince and even Vince has said it was a dream come true to sing with Jessie.
Nobody's Perfect Jessie J and Vince Kidd
Our next clip is her hit with James Morrison on his compostion, Up. I think even though this has only been a success in the UK. There is hit potential for other parts of the globe with this! The two of them sound great together! In my opinion this is where Jessie has the edge on other artists. I think James is limited to the ballad side of music but as Jessie keeps saying her music is eclectic and I think she can produce super quality ballads, pop, jazz, rhythm and blues or dance music. What ever she chooses.
For our final clips this week I want to diverse to the unreleased and tv show side of Jess's career so far. Love the Knock on Wood clip from the Diva's Show with Jennifer Hudson and I have read this again about people not liking her endings because they felt she was trying to impress. Well in my opinion this is not so. She is being herself. She does this sort of ending all the time. She just let's herself go and what you see and hear is the end result and I love it. I just hope she keeps doing it and does'nt change. I am sure she won't!
We will take a look at a younger Jess performing with Amplify Dot on Sweetest Feeling. To end it we will check out Mockingbird by her and her close friend from the Voice Tom Jones. You can see how much they admire each other here and in the last clip of I Gotta Feeling, the first time Tom performed with Jessie. I always smile at the look of amazement on Tom's face with Jessies vocals. The woooh! look on his face! He is impressed!

Jessica Cornish
I thought for this weeks Jessica Cornish magic. We might take a look at some of her own uploaded videos! One of my favorites would have to be singing Domino while on holidays in Thailand! Just love how its all so natural. Just young girls having fun!
Domino on Holiday in Thailand
She obviously loved listening to Whitney Houston as a child. There is a couple of Whitney covers that she has uploaded so I thought we might have a listen to I Have Nothing!
I Have Nothing
I think Big White Room that she does in her LA bathroom would be another great piece of Jessie J magic we can take a look at! A song she wrote when she was seventeen about a childhood experience in the Great Ormond Street Hospital. She was eleven at the time. Jessie recalling the incident in an interview. I woke up in the middle of the night to see this little boy in an adjacent bed praying, and my mother explaining that he was having an operation the next day and was asking God to save him. Jessie continued: "He died the next day so I said to my mum 'but God didn't save him'. I was so angry and it really confused me. It had a strong effect on her so she put the experience into a song!

She went back to Great Ormond Street for the Comedy Gala Charity Show.

Hackney Weekend
This week Jessie started her mini Europe tour at the Hackney Weekend with some super performances.I absolutely love watching her everytime she performs Domino. That song brings out the fun side and the amazing vocal abilities of Jessica Cornish. Absolutely love it! The way she brings the crowd into the song as well is brilliant.
It was the main highlight for me but there were more as she performed Price Tag for only the second time with BOB and I must say it came across excellently! I love the way she works her music and performances. Each time I see her perform she seems to be growing in confidence! Makes me think of this line from Who's Laughing Now. Thank you for the pain you made me raise my game. And I'm still rising,I'm still rising. Jessie J's star is definately still rising. She did a super performance of this on the Saturday at Hackney so I'm going to make that our first bit of magic for this week. Click on the link below !

UK Voice Final and Diamond Jubilee
London was buzzing this week with the Queens Diamond Jubilee and UK Voice final so Jessica Cornish's week was a really productive one. There were two super performances on the voice. The first and highlight of the week for me was the coaches mash up of their hits. Absolutely loved this with all artists putting in super performances. The four minutes was such an enjoyable watch. Jessie got things rolling with Tom's Its Not Unusual and when she passes the baton to Tom the look on Toms face says it all . That's perfection I'm sure was going through his mind. I have to comment on the connection between these two, their friendship and love for each other just lights up on their faces! Then came Will I Am & Jess with their lefts and rights during Price Tag . Will is such a relaxed, cool customer and Jess is such a fun character. I smile every time at their facial expressions and quirkiness. Then Wills dance on the spot, when he says c'mon to Jess, makes me laugh add in his cheshire cat smile.Just Love it!
Uk Voice Coaches Mash Up
Our second clip from the voice is Jess and Vince's duet of Nobody's Perfect. Another A1 performance and I thought Vince did a fantastic job not to be overshadowed by Jess. I thought it was sung really well by the two of them. The only criticism I could have is I think Jess may have been trying a little too hard. She probably was wanting to make it a super performance to get Vince through.
Nobody's Perfect Jessie J and Vince Kidd
The Queens Jubilee sees another flawless Domino performance. You can tell she absolutely loves this song and so do I. It is a clever, fun, well written song which gets everyone in a party mood. She really plays around with it and as she has said in the past she feels like exploding at the end of Domino. Love Domino and love the amazing Jessie J.
Domino Queens Diamond Jubilee
At the jubilee she also did I Gotta feeling/This Is Love with Will I Am not a bad performance but I think being her second shot at these with no warm up and being Wills songs she just was'nt quite there vocally for her! Loved the performance by them though. To finish up I thought we might look forward to this weekend and the Summertime Ball. Where Jess has already revealed that there is going to be a few fresh songs and collaborations. Which I will be anxiously waiting for the you tube postings of this concert so anyone going please record these and post. Anyone's guess what these may be. I know she is supposed to be collaborating with Ed Sheeran and he will be there as will Katy Perry also she has recorded something with Cee Lo Green back in early April but he is not going to be there. Another possibility is Professor Green and then an interesting possibility is her ex girlfriend Kira who performed Sweetest Thing with her in 2009 was apparently spotted at the UK Voice final show. My last two clips this week are the interview with Capitol FM about the Summertime Ball and Sweetest Thing Jessie J ft Amplify Dot .

Jessie J and the TV Shows
This week I thought we would look at Television and Jessie J with all the talk and speculation around the UK voice. In my opinion I think Jessie made a wrong move by signing up for the Voice. I was reading a comment by a USA fan the other day which went something like this. What is her management doing signing her up for that show when she could be doing live shows in America or finishing her second album and I have to agree. I think Jessie made the decision on her desire to help people. Honourable move but not necessary the right one because she is so early in her career, she is barely established herself! There is definate signs that she wont be back for the UK Voice second series even if there is one. Doubling her salary definately won't cut it for Jess. She has already put in place a UK tour around the next filming of the Voice so i think there is strong signs she won't be back and I think that will mean her co judge and close friend Tom Jones won't be returning either!
I want to make music. Thats my way of putting a bit of good into this world. I am not a superhero,I can't cure diseases,I can't save people but I can write music that can heal inside and can help people.
Now got the UK voice business out of the way. Let's take a look at some of Jess's super performance on TV shows from around the world!

The Playful Jessie J
Its been a rather drama filled week so far for the beautiful Jessica Cornish with the media giving her a hard time and all the mishaps on the UKVoice. For this reason I thought we might take a look at the light she brings into peoples lives with her genuine desire to bring good to this world. Whether it be through her visits to hospitals bringing awareness that there are children out there, doing it tough or her playful side on the voice putting smiles on peoples faces through her fun loving antics and funny faces. Jessica Cornish brings a breathe of fresh air to this world so keep making the world dance and don't let the negative media and diva comments stop you from doing good. Your an angel of the first degree and we need more like you Jessica Cornish.

Jessica Cornish and her week!
Let's look at the amazing Jessie j's week. She started it off in China with a very uncomfortable promotional visit for the Mercedes Benz Motor Show.Performing Domino in front of an audience of business people. They were calling her a fresh avant garde artsit! That's exactly what she is! A new clip of the making of the Laserlight video clip also surfaced this week and she discusses the thoughts behind the writing of the song and the video itself here.
Later in the week she arrived back in the UK with the news that Laserlight was sitting at 5 on the charts and she had become the first UK artist to have 6 recordings taken off one album to have reached the top ten.She tweeted how stoked she was.No time for rest but its straight into the Voice live shows for her so thought we would have a look at the performance of Beautiful Day done by the four coaches to lead the show off.
I also want to look at another unreleased track unsure of when this was done but it was posted on April 6th while she was in LA laying down some new tracks one being with the US Voice coach Cee Lo Green who tweeted that he wanted to plug into Jessie like they did in Avatar referring to her energy. Its a very different and interesting track.Just had an update on this track it is an old track. There is a live version on You tube from 2008 so it must have been written in her teen years! I suppose as she said she has written over 600 songs so more are sure to surface in the future.
Sweetest Thing Jessie J ft Amplify Dot
Absolutely love Jessie's humour and the funny faces she pulls on the Voice so thought we might give you all some more of the beautiful Jessie's funny faces!

Discovering the music and life of Jessica Cornish
Lets take a discovery tour of the Jessie J world by starting with a couple of songs. The first is Big White Room which was written after she had a stint in hospital at eleven. While she was there she met a young boy who had been stuck in hospital with a serious heart problem requiring an operation which he never came through. This was one of her first songs she composed. Our second song is L.O.V.E written for an ex girlfriend with lines like, You said you missed me and called me milky and See love doesn't choose a boy or a girl, nope,When I met you, you hugged my heart and filled my world.
Just this week at the Teenage Cancer Trust she introduced her band members during Mama Knows Best so we will include that clip as well. We will also take a look at some interesting and funny interviews. The One Show interview from yesterday and the other one from last year I wanted to include to show the humorous side of Jessica Cornish.

Jessie J The Voice and Unreleased Jessie J Songs!
The magic of Jessie J this week. I thought we would take a look at UK The Voice and some unreleased Jessie compositions that could possibly be on her second album. We might just flashback to last years Teenage Cancer Trust show that she will be appearing at again this year as well. I know she did perform at the launch of a Vitamin Water product during the week but so far hav'nt seen any clips from this, only pics.
During the first blind auditions for the voice, two of the contestants sung Jessie compositions. The first Jessica Hammond did Price Tag and she chose Jessie as her coach. The second J Marie Cooper did Mama Knows Best, and although Jessie wanted her on her team, she surprisingly chose Will I Am.This is our first clip for this week.
The following is the opening to the show with the four coaches Tom Jones,Will I Am,Danny O'donoghue and our girl Jessie J performing the Will I Am penned I Gotta Feeling. Just love the look on Tom's face when Jessie joins in,he is blown away!
Now to some unreleased Jessie tracks one of my favorites is Without You, not her cover of the Guetta/Usher track but an original written by Jessica Cornish herself!
Another fun track apparently written when she was seventeen is Run Baby, a sweet track but really can't see it being on the second album, even though some her fans are pushing for it to be!
Our third and final unreleased track is Fast Lane. I have a feeling this may have been written by her, around the time she broke back at the end of 2010 but thats just a guess.
The beautiful Jessie J after the Vitamin water launch earlier this week!
Last years Teenage Cancer Trust performance by Jessie J. She is performing again this year on April 1st with her new love in her life Tinie Tempah so if you can get to see her, you wont be sorry, she is one amazing live performer.

The Old Lady of Copacabana
She was standing on the sidewalk of Atlantica Avenue with a guitar and a hand-written sign that said:
“Let's sing together.”
She began to play alone. Then a drunk arrived, and another old lady and they began to sing along with her. In a short time a small crowd was singing together and another small crowd played the audience, applauding at the end of each song.
“Why do you do this?” I asked between songs.
“I don’t want to be alone,” she said. “My life is very lonely, just like almost all old people.”

A woman accompanied her husband to the doctor's office.
After his checkup, the doctor called the wife into his office alone. He said, "Your husband is suffering from a very severe stress disorder. If you don't do the following, your husband will surely die."
"Each morning, fix him a healthy breakfast. Be pleasant at all times. For lunch make him a nutritious meal. For dinner prepare an especially nice meal for him. Don't burden him with chores. Don't discuss your problems with him, it will only make his stress worse. No nagging. If you can do this for the next 10 months to a year, I think your husband will regain his health completely."
On the way home, the husband asked his wife. "What did the doctor say?"
"He said you're going to die," she replied.
